In Mukhed village, there are two Anganwadi centers providing essential services to children and women.

The Anganwadi Department functions under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) program, which aims to promote the overall development of women and children.
Through Anganwadi centers, children aged 3 to 6 years receive pre-primary education, healthcare services, and nutritious meals. In addition, pregnant women and lactating mothers also benefit from these services.
The main focus of Anganwadis is to combat malnutrition, and to provide health and nutrition education to the community.

Main Objectives of the Anganwadi Department

• Elimination of Malnutrition:
  Reduce malnutrition among children, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.

  Each Anganwadi center is managed by an Anganwadi Worker (Sevika) and a Helper (Madanis), while at the Taluka level, there are Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) and Supervisors overseeing the program.
